We are STEWARDS of our faith and the gifts God has given us, so we are:
Spirit-Filled: We rely on the Holy Spirit, who resides within us, in order to live a holy life and minister to the hurting and the lost. The Holy Spirit was given to us in order to empower us to be a light to the world.
Thankful & Trustworthy: We regularly praise and thank God for who He is. We err on the side of optimism, because we know that God is good and trustworthy. Because God is trustworthy, we should emulate that same quality. This means our yes is our yes and our no is our no.
Empowered: Christians are people on a mission (Matt 28:16-20). We have been given the Holy Spirit to empower us to evangelize.
Worshipful: All of creation exists to worship God. As Christians, made in His image, it is our responsibility to be the first and loudest members of creation to praise Him. The most important activity we do, which invades every other activity we do, is worshipping our creator.
Accepting & Accountable: God is a loving, relational and accepting God, which we should model. We meet in order to encourage each other and hold each other accountable in every aspect of our lives. We accept all who come to our church, but do not affirm all lifestyles.
Radically Loving & Relational: What separates Christians from the rest of the world? Our true faith in Jesus, which inspires us to love one another (1 John 2:10). We know that God is love and, if He resides within us, we should love just like He does.
Disciple-Makers: The Great Commission is a call to discipleship. Discipleship means we walk alongside people, sharing their pain, sorrow, and burdens, because we love them. We drag people out of hell and walk with them to heaven.
